How to update Civil Status in Workday
Log in to Acquire Portal and RingCentral Okta to access both WorkDay platforms.
Click the "Personal Information" tab on the Homepage application panel.
Change your Personal Information
Click on the pencil icon next to “Marital Status” to update your civil status
Select your current status and input the start date
Scroll down to the “Attachments” section to upload supporting documents to support your request to update status
Click submit
Wait for approval of your civil status change request

HMO Coverage
Principal Members (Employees) - covered from the first day of employment
Dependents - can be added after 90 days of employment
How many FREE dependents can be added?
You can add up to three (3) FREE dependents (standard qualified dependents only).
Additional Dependents
Optional to the employee, you can enroll one (1) additional regular dependent, or two (2) diversity dependents (common-law/same-sex partner and/or overaged parents). Married employees can also enroll their parents as extended dependents. This will be 100% employee-covered and payable through salary deduction. Please refer to the cost information for the premium fees.
Can I add my common-law/same-sex partner or overage parent as my dependent?
Yes, your common-law/same-sex partner or overaged parent can be added as your dependent and will be part of your payable dependents (cost payable by the employee via salary deduction)
Frequency of deduction for additional dependents
The premium fees for the additional dependent/s will be paid through salary deduction every 15th and 30th payout.
When will the deduction for the additional dependent/s start?
The policy will be official as of January 1, 2024. The first deduction will be on January 15, 2024 payout.
What is the agreement on the mode of payment if the employee resigns?
It will be a semi-annual mode of payment. Meaning, applicable to all RingCentral employees with 4th dependent, the agreement in this mode of payment, if the employee resigns, is:
Case 1 - If the employee resigns between January to June 2024 and the payable dependent/s used the HMO card, the employee will have to pay the premium until June 2024.
Case 2 - If the employee resigns between January to June 2024 and the payable dependent/s did not use the HMO card, the employee will pay the premium only until the month he/she resigned.
Case 3 - If the employee resigns between July to December 2024, regardless of whether the HMO card was used or not, the employee will have to pay the premium for his/her payable dependent/s until December 2024.
Can I change/add dependents within the contract period?
No. Only newly regularized employees are eligible to enroll their dependents within the contract period.
Can I add a new-born child?
Yes, the eligibility to enroll a new-born child is from 15 to 45 days from birth.
If I’m on LOA, or No Work No Pay (NWNP), or Temporary Layoff (TLO) status and currently not being paid a salary, when will my first deduction take effect?
This will be deducted from your salary upon return to work.
Is the HMO coverage of a dependent different from the principal’s (employee) access?
Unless specified, the principal's access is the same as their dependents. They will also have the same MBL.
If I missed to process my dependent application during the renewal period, when can I apply again?
For tenured employees, you may apply during the next renewal period.
I want to skip the hierarchy of my dependent/s, what will be the requirements?
You may refer here or to the list of requirements on the Acquire Portal via the HMO Renewal tile.
If I’m on maternity leave and currently not being paid a salary, when will my first deduction take effect?
This will be deducted from your Maternity Benefit (salary differential) if sufficient. If not, this will be deducted from your salary upon return to work.
What Is Maxicare Consent Form?
The Maxicare Consent Form is a data-sharing agreement authorizing Acquire BPO as your employer to process/access your HMO and dependent’s HMO records.
Do I need to access the HMO Renewal tile even if I don’t have dependents to add or renew?
Yes. Employees are still required to access the HMO Renewal tile on the Acquire Portal and complete the Maxicare Consent Form.
Can I update my civil status to add my new and/or change my existing dependent?
Yes. You must first update your civil status on Workday both RC and Acquire.
How can I change my civil status?
Here are the steps to update your civil status in Workday.
I don’t have any changes with my HMO dependents, do I need to submit any requirements?
No need to submit any requirements.
I’m married but separated (not legal), can I skip my spouse as my dependent?
Yes, please provide supporting documents (refer to the list of requirements on the Acquire Portal via the HMO Renewal tile).
Can my payable dependents use the HMO card even after my separation?
No, it is co-terminus. Therefore, if the principal member (employee) is inactive, so are their dependent/s
