Coverage for COVID-19 RT-PCR Test
Maxicare Updated Guidelines for COVID-19 Testing - RT-PCR
Based on the DOH Circular 2021-0374, the cap limit for RT-PCR is Php 3,360.00 whereas Philhealth coverage is Php 2,800.00, thus kindly be advised that Maxicare will cover only up to Php 560 per availment. Please be guided accordingly.
Primary Care Network (PCN) Physicians
1. PCN Physicians pertain to doctors providing service in the Maxicare Primary Care Clinics, Maxicare-managed corporate clinics, or Telemedicine platforms (Teleconsult and Doctor Anywhere).
2. PCN physicians shall request for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) only for the diagnosis of COVID-19 of Maxicare members.
3. Symptomatic members who will test negative for RAT shall complete the required quarantine protocols ie. 5 days from the onset of symptoms for fully vaccinated and 14 days from the onset of symptoms for partially vaccinated and unvaccinated members.
4. The appropriate supportive medical management shall be provided by the PC physician Members may be referred to the appropriate Maxicare-affiliated provider if needed.
