Setting Up Your First Pet
How do I create a pet profile?
Creating a pet profile in The Riley Roo Way™ is like building your pet’s personal universe from the ground up.
You’ll simply click on (+) Add Pet and enter a few key details (name, breed, age, microchip details, add a bio noting allergies if they have them, quirks if you want to share). And of course upload a cute photo.
Then you can start layering in the good stuff: routines, medical info, you caregiver community, milestone moments, and every little detail that makes your pet… your pet.
It’s simple. It’s flexible. It’s designed for you to build their unique world, your way.
Absolutely! Pets grow, routines shift, and—let’s be real—sometimes the nickname does become the real name. That’s why editing a pet profile is quick and easy.
Here’s how:
Go to the My Pets tab
Tap on your pet’s profile
Hit the Edit button
Update any fields—name, photo, breed, birthday, notes, or tags
Tap Save to confirm your changes
Your updates will reflect immediately across your pet’s care space.
What is the Pet Info Hub and how do I use it?
Once you’ve added your pet, you’ll unlock access to their Pet Info Hub—a central place to store and organize important care details.
Think of it as your pet’s personal (and paperless) filing cabinet where you can upload and manage info like:
Vaccination records
Medication notes or schedules
Vet contacts and care instructions
Feeding routines or daily care notes
We support popular file types like PDF, JPG, PNG, and DOCX, so you can keep everything in one easy-to-access place.
This makes sharing care easier, staying prepared simpler, and lets you personalize what matters most for your pet.
How do I upload a document to the Pet Info Hub?
There are a few easy ways to add a document, depending on where you are in the app:
From your pet’s profile:
Tap the “Add a Document or Note” button at the bottom of their profile page.
Directly in the Pet Info Hub:
Open the Pet Info Hub from your pet’s profile and tap “Add Document or Note.”
While using the “How Are You” or “Who Are You” modules:
As you navigate through folders in these modules, you’ll have the option to upload a document or note when you reach the end of a section or if nothing has been added yet. Just tap the (+) icon when prompted.
No matter which path you take, your information will be saved in their Pet Info Hub for easy to reference later.
Yes, and we love that you’re caring for a pet—whether it’s forever or just for now.
You can create a full profile for any foster, temporary, or visiting pet. Track their routines, upload documents, coordinate with helpers, and give them the same thoughtful care as any long-term companion.
When they’re no longer in your care, you can either archive their profile (to keep their info safe for future access) or delete it if it’s no longer needed.
Every pet deserves care, structure, and love—no matter how long they stay.
How do I delete my pet's profile?
To delete your pet’s profile:
Go to your pet’s unique page and select ‘edit’ to access their complete profile.
Once on their complete profile tab, scroll to the bottom and click on Delete Pet.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once confirmed, the pet’s profile and all associated information will be permanently removed from your account. This action cannot be undone.
Who can see my information or my pet’s profile?
Your privacy—and your pet’s—is important to us. Here’s what you need to know:
Only confirmed caregivers you invite into your pet’s care community can view your pet’s information—and even then, only what you choose to share.
Your profile and your pet's care data are never publicly searchable or accessible without your action.
You’re always in control of what’s shared and with whom.
