Sophomore FOCUS

Sophomore FOCUS is a program that was designed by the RHS Guidance Department to give our tenth grade students additional individual attention. Sophomore FOCUS  allows our school counselors and administrators to have dedicated space and time in their schedules to meet our tenth grade students and help them plan for the years ahead at Ridgewood High School. Sophomore FOCUS will meet during the third quarter of students' sophomore year.

Sophomore year is an important year and can sometimes be overshadowed by 9th, 11th, and 12th grade. The goal of Sophomore FOCUS is to ensure our students are settling in to high school while also making sure they are preparing for their future.

Topics covered in Sophomore FOCUS include, but are not limited to:

1. Course Scheduling Process for the upcoming school Year

2. Career Interest Inventory

3. Resume Building & 11th Grade Planning

4. Leadership
