Freshman Empowerment Day 19-20
About me
This is my seventh year at Ridgedale Jr./Sr. High School. I graduated from Ridgemont High School and earned two bachelors degrees from Urbana University in English and in High School English Education. I am currently in the process of earning my masters in English from Ohio Dominican University. In my spare time, I enjoy music, theatre, and murder documentaries.
What inspired me to be an educator is how my high school teachers helped guide me through some rough patches in my life. They were the impetus for furthering my education and going outside my comfort zone.
While this may be a strange year with hybrid and/or remote learning taking place, I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and finding what makes you excited to learn!
Here's to a great year!
Did you "throw away your shot?" Stay tuned for information on next year's trip!
(As the trip date nears, a detailed itinerary will be provided.)
**Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 19-20 trip was combined with this one, so if you're already registered an paid, you're good to go for this school year's trip!
**If you would like to cancel the trip or re-register, please contact WorldStrides Customer Service (contact info in the same link).
Student sites
classroom.google.com (see helpful "cheat sheet" for Classroom below.)
While parents/guardians may view Classroom from their child's login, they are NOT able to be added as students themselves due to privacy issues.
They will be added as guardians and may sign up for weekly or daily reports from their child's Google Classroom classes.
Other apps and webpages of high student use will be linked through Google Classroom.
If there are specific resources you would like links to or instructional videos for, please send me an email and I will upload them here and/or on Google Classroom.
