Course Description

• This is a twice-a-day course during 1st and 11th period. During this course, students will be exposed to a range of readings such as The Outsiders, The Rag and Bone Shop, The Diary of Anne Frank (dramatized adaptation), Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and A Midsummer Night's Dream to name a few. There will be several shorter, informational and literary texts tied into each of the aforementioned texts as well as film crossovers and personalized project options for each. Finally, students will receive grammar, writing, vocabulary, and figurative language instruction on a weekly basis along with and aside from their literary instruction.

• This course will have Mrs. Kasler as an Intervention Specialist each day during 11th period.
