"The Sport course is extremely interesting. During the course, you get the chance to learn about the different elements that come with sport. This includes topics from leadership and communication in sport to the different types of fitness training methods and how each one affects an individual. I really enjoyed getting to look at a variety of sports and how they are alike and how they differ. Assessment are done with a mixture of written coursework and exams which worked well for me. Finally, you get to take part in fun practical lessons which is good for a visual approach to some topics and these are some of the reasons why I really enjoyed taking part in this course".

Sport was one of the many options I had thought of choosing as I transitioned into year 10. Sport is a very good alternative to GCSE PE if the GCSE doesn't suit you, and you work on very similar topics. Sport was an amazing subject for me to pick, as it gives me an active and academic side of PE. Throughout my two years with the subject, I have learnt a lot and it has given me confidence in whatever path I take regarding sports diploma/Pe. My favourite aspect was the practical sport and learning how what we learnt in the classroom applied to performance in sports. It looks at sport in more detail and made me think much deeper about the technical side of every skill. This is one of the many parts of the course and I have enjoyed every one.
