The Team from Waiboys Plumbing have stepped in with the project to help get the pump track up and running again. The plan is to get a couple of diggers down to the bike track and rebuild a couple of the lines so that the community can still use the bike track up until the full build happens.
Baden from waiboys has been a big help to the project by comming out in his own time and working on the pump track, he has also had a couple truck loads of clay deliverd so that we can have smother lines to ride over as well as a new hose so that we can have acsses to water up on the bike track.
Before we started the rebuild, this was the specific line that all the local kids used to ride. They would try to build jumps down this line, as it was the longest line of the other options. So we thought, why not just build some proper jumps down this line for the temporary rebuild.
For these trails, we need to have accessibility for everyone with any skill. So we decided to put in a kids track that loops around into the original rollers. This will have a couple of berms and new rollers for people to ride around.
There is already an original table that was built at the bike track, it is in a decent spot and there is a long enough run in for it so we decided to build a couple rollers to carry speed into it and build a steeper lip so we are able to have a jump to session tricks on.
Waiboys have put in a lot of time and value towards our pump track, from using their own diggers and compactors to getting clay sent to the bike track.
