Acting Master Class Submission

Acting Master Class Application

All submissions are due no later than the end of the day on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
No late submissions will be considered.

If you would like to be considered for the vocal master class, you must submit the following:

1.) PDF copy of monologue - screen shot of pages from book or script is fine, as long as they are full sized and clear.

2.) Audio/video recording of your monologue performance:

  • No longer than 2 minutes in length.

    • If your selection is longer than 2 minutes, record and submit the section you feel best highlights your talent.

    • Don't be afraid of recording something you need to improve - the goal of a master class is for its participants to grow and improve.

  • Share settings of the video must be set to "Anyone with the link can view."

  • On the video recording, introduce yourself with the following information:

      • First and Last name.

      • Your grade at R-H.

      • The monologue you are performing: include the author/playwright, and show/book it’s from.

      • Approximately one-two sentence introduction describing the scenario/character in the moment.

EXAMPLE INTRO: "Hi! I’m Sarah Best, a sophomore at R-H. This Cecily’s monologue is from Act II of Oscar Wilde’s play The Importance of Being Earnest. In this scene, I’m Cecily Cardew, declaring my self-determined engagement to a man that I think is named Ernest."

Reminders for submissions:

  • Head-to-toe camera angle is best. We want to see you and hear you!

  • Wear something that makes you feel confident in yourself.

  • Use a background that is relatively uncluttered (maybe not a background that includes your unmade bed or laundry).
