Free College Application Days

High school students who apply for fall 2025 admission to UCONN* or any of Connecticut's public universities (CCSU, ECSU, SCSU and WCSU) on November 1, 2024 will have the opportunity to have their admission application fee waived. 

*In an effort to ease the financial burden of applying to college, the University of Connecticut is pleased to participate in this year's Application Fee Free Day on Friday, November 1, 2024. On this date, students who apply for fall 2025 admission to the University of Connecticut or any of Connecticut's public universities will have the opportunity to have their admission application fee waived. Qualifying students include those who have an active mailing address in Connecticut or who are attending a secondary school in Connecticut.

Students interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should choose the Application Fee Free Day fee waiver option found on the UConn college list as part of the application. This option will only be visible and available on November 1, 2024. Students qualifying for traditional fee waivers may continue to select the appropriate waivers on the application at any time throughout the application cycle.

Beginning Monday, October 21st, and ending Sunday, November 3rd, students can apply to up to five SUNY campuses with no application fee. This includes all campuses, no matter which application vehicle the student uses. The SUNY 2025 application is expected to be available beginning August 1st. Please remember that students can submit their application during the free application week period, but supplemental materials such as transcripts and letters of recommendation may be submitted after November 3rd.
