“It became engaging, collaborative, energizing, and empowering.”
One aspect of the reacHIRE experience that differentiates it from other return-to-work programs is its inclusion of a dedicated Program Manager. This individual will serve as your main point of contact and will be there to support you throughout the duration of your program. She will help you navigate your re-entry into work, advocate for you and also offer coaching and developmental advice. More specifically, she will:
Facilitate Re-Immersion Week
Provide remote support for the duration of the program, including:
Monthly 1:1 Coaching Sessions
Schedule Monthly Workshops
A wrap-up event with Managers and Returners.
At Inmar, you will be assigned a mentor who will be happy to guide you, answer questions, and offer support. This person has volunteered to be your point of contact within your group. They will share their experience as a Inmar employee, introduce you to other staff, and educate you on the business and it's impact on Inmar as a whole.
As a participant in the Return-to-Work Program, it is crucial that you drive the relationship with your mentor. Put time on their calendar for coffee, lunch, or a quick meeting on a regular basis. The further you progress in your project, the more meaningful these conversations will become.
It’s our goal to allow ramp-up time for all Returners to get acclimated, get comfortable and learn the ropes before being assigned any deliverables. The first few weeks are usually about observing and absorbing, understanding your business unit, and learning how Inmar works as a whole. Your Program Manager, manager, peer mentor, and fellow returners will play an integral role in helping you adjust during this stage of the program.
A very important part of your program experience is being open to learning and growing, as well as being receptive to constructive feedback. Throughout the six-month period, you will receive feedback from your team manager. We encourage you to use this as a tool for professional development. We love receiving feedback as well, and we will provide many opportunities for you to give it to us!
It is helpful to have a positive attitude when entering a return to work program. Going back to corporate life is challenging, but Inmar sees extraordinary potential in every one of you. reacHIRE will help you to navigate the ups and downs, while keeping an eye on your long term goals. Remember that this program offers a degree of flexibility, transparency and support that is so helpful for individuals who are returning to work
While it’s important to make your current job your #1 focus, networking at any job is always encouraged. This includes learning about different business units, exploring potential opportunities, and forming business relationships as they relate to your current role and potential future roles.
Ask your manager, peer mentor, and co-workers who they recommend chatting with to learn more about your area of interest, if you're not already working there.
