School Fees

This is a friendly reminder that all fees are now due. There are currently some outstanding athletic fees and library fines. The preferred method of payment is through your PowerSchool Parent Portal online. Cash or cheques made out to RDPSD-GSTS are accepted at the office. Please write your child’s name on the memo line of your cheque. We do not have the ability to process debit or credit card payments at the office. Please speak to Mrs. Triffo in the office if you have any questions.

Yellow/Charter Bus

Important bus information:

City Transit - The City of Red Deer will be using the Smart Ride system again for the upcoming school year. This means there is no charge for a restricted plastic card bus pass that is good from Monday to Friday throughout the year for those who live more than 2.4 km from their designated school and their school of choice. This pass is not valid on weekends. An unrestricted pass may be used anytime Transit operates during the school year and can be purchased from the school for an extra fee of $100 for the year. Passes lost, stolen or mutilated are non-replaceable by Transit. Replacement passes cost $10. Before being issued a pass, a transit application form must be completed. Students who live closer than 2.4 km from their designated school and their school of choice must go to the City of Red Deer Transit to purchase a pass. Cheques or cash can be submitted at the school payable to RDPSD-GSTS or it is encouraged that payment be made online through the Parent Portal of PowerSchool.

Yellow Bus Riders (Charter Bus) - Elementary students who live farther than 1.6 km from their designated school and school of choice are eligible to apply to ride the Glendale/Normandeau charter bus. If space permits, ineligible riders may also be accepted. Charter applications are available online or can be completed at the school. Grade 1-5 who live between 1.6 and 2.4 km away cost $150/year. This can be paid either in one payment or 2 installments of $75. Kindergarten (one way) to grade 8 students who live over 2.4 km have no fee. Kindergarten (one way) to grade 5 who live under 1.6 km away cost $300/year. Grade 6 to 8 students who live under 2.4 km away cost $300/year. These can be paid in full or in 10 installments of $30.
