Don't Be Afraid of Achieving Your Dreams

by Daymar Rivera

At a young age we get pressured to be the best. At first we are like a cute little “puppy” - we do whatever they want us to do, we are trained to do the basics and be responsible. When we start growing up we see violence and we start to see the truth of humanity and want to be “free”, detached from a person that we think is “bad”, but they just want to protect us. Hoping this is just a phase, we keep going the way we were before, but this only brings more confusion to the mind because we want to escape; but now we're afraid that we won't be strong enough for the world that's out there, because it’s dark and cold. Looking around at everything parents buy us with everything they give us is like we don't need to escape at all. We have dreamland goals and thinking that the people who protected us all our life would stop us, we move to another place to pursue our dreams.

This is when the new chapter starts because even though we are afraid we take a step back and go for it.
