Coach Berry takes over as head coach for the 2025-2026 season for the first time in his career. His coaching journey began at Oxford High School in 2016, where he helped guide the team to a State Championship victory. After graduating from Ole Miss, he spent five successful years at Lafayette High School, contributing to two North State appearances and a State Championship run. After Lafayette, he joined the Florence coaching staff for three years before being appointed head coach.
A Florence native and third-generation coach, Coach Berry follows in the footsteps of his father, Coach Rob Berry, and grandfather, Coach Robert “Cooter” Berry—both legends in their own right.
Coach Berry is joined by his wonderful family—his wife Lauren, and their two children, Vee (5) and Lilly (2).

Coach Dice will be entering his first year at Florence High School and will be coaching football and baseball. This will be his 10th year teaching and coaching.
Coach Dice is a graduate of USM and William Carey University. He is a two time state football champion as both a coach and player. He and his wife Katie have two children, Deak (10) and Brinley Kate (2).
Coach O'Hair is in his 20th year in Florence. This year begins his 13th year at the high school as an assistant baseball coach. He will work with hitters as well as infielders this year. Coach O'Hair also helps with our social media, graphics, and statistics as well. Coach O'Hair is married to Brooke who is the head softball coach at the University of North Georgia. They have two children. Sydney is a senior at FHS and Cooper will begin 4th grade in Georgia this year.
Coach Rankin enters his 15th year at Florence High School, bringing passion and experience to both the golf course and the baseball field. With 21 years of teaching and coaching under his belt, he’s committed to building strong athletes and even stronger character.
On the diamond, Rankin will be working with pitchers, catchers, and hitters, helping each player develop the skills and mindset to succeed.
A proud graduate of Belhaven University, Rankin spent four years on the diamond as a Blazer before continuing his education at William Carey University.
Off the field, Coach Rankin has been married to his wife, Dana, for 18 years. Together, they’re raising their biggest fans — Easton (8), Gray (6), and Lynnlee (4).
