Belle Heth Elementary strives to integrate Digital Learning Standards into the core curriculum and make them a regular part of a students day.
Digital Learning Standards are comprehensive statements that explain foundational knowledge and skill expectations of what students are expected to know or be able to do.
Belle Heth students use google apps to present their learnings from solving real life problems. The presentations empower them to communicate their learnings with peers and teachers. The Ambassadors and the 6th graders create web pages for the presentation of their writings. The web pages are are part of a website viewed by other students, parents, and administrators. The presentations and web pages empower learners and create digital citizens for the future. Belle Heth students also learn Adam Dovico's "S.P.E.C.I.A.L." to instill simple, yet important "soft skills" into our students at a young age, so that when they have a college interview, apply for a job, or want to stand out in a crowd, they have been taught the skills that will help them be successful!” quoted from Adam Dovico.
Please view the websites and presentations posted. Encourage your children to communicate with others using the S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
