Workshop

Breakthrough Experience Design

We will essentially be providing students with a snapshot, a day in the life of an Experience Designer. From brief to conception and delivery we will lead them through a fun exercise in which they will receive three exciting design briefs to choose from. Their task is to fulfil one of three briefs and deliver look & feel mood boards, thinking into the consumer journey and ultimately a visualisation in the form of a sketch or digitally, how their vision comes to life.

For sharing with Students, a brief intro:

Welcome to the Breakthrough Experience Design workshop! In this session, we aim to inspire radical thinking and creative innovation in the field of Experience Design. We’ve curated three exciting briefs for you to choose from, each challenging the conventional and invite you to explore out-of-the-box solutions. The goal is to go wild, think beyond boundaries, and bring your most innovative ideas to the table!

DELIVERABLES:

Outline of the 'Big Idea': Develop a compelling narrative that explains the 'why' behind your design. What is the overarching concept that sets your design apart and challenges traditional norms?

Mood Board: Create a visually striking mood board that encapsulates the overall experience and vision of your design. Include images, colors, textures, and concepts that convey the emotional and sensory aspects of your breakthrough design.

Customer Journey: Map out the consumer journey, considering physical, human, and digital touchpoints. Think about how individuals will interact with the space, behave within it, and engage with digital elements. Craft a holistic design that caters to a seamless and immersive experience.

Overall Hand Sketch/Collage/Digital Creation: Provide a comprehensive visual representation of your design. Whether it's a hand-drawn sketch, a collage of ideas, or a digital creation, this should give an overall impression of the space you envision.
