Knowing who your instructors are and having their contact information is critical to your education success.  It is recommended that you stay in contact with your instructor throughout the semester. This include sending emails, talking to your instructor at class meetings, and visiting your instructors during their office hours.  Office hours are simply allocated times your instructor has set aside for meeting students.  

Should you have issues that prevents you from attending class you need to notify your instructor(s) immediately.  Do not let your instructors second guess why you did not show up for class.  One aspect of construction management is professionalism.  Remember to make sure your instructor is aware of your situations regardless what it is.  A prolonged illness warrants an immediate notification to your instructor so that he/she can work with you on missed class work etc.  As always, email is the best means to get a hold of your instructors any time of the day.
