El cicle dels nutrients serveix per fer madurar a l'aquari i que els peixos puguin viure en pau.

Tot comença amb nitrogen (o N2), que les plantes absorbeixen i formen proteïnes de les quals s'alimenten els peixos. Després d'això, fan la digestió de la matèria orgànica, on hi ha amoníac (que en grans quantitats és molt tòxic). En aquest amoníac hi ha bacteris nitificants, que després es transformaran en nitrit (NO2) i finalment en nitrat (NO3), que servirà com a adob per les plantes de l'aquari i ja no serà tant tòxic.

The nutrients cycle is made for the aquarium to madurate and the fish to live in peace.

It all starts with the nitrogen (N2), that the plants absorb and they form proteins which the fish eat. After this, they urinate the organic material, and there, there's ammonia (which in bigger quantities is toxic). In this ammonia there's nitrifying bacteria, which later will transform into nitrite (NO2) and finally it turns into nitrate (NO3). That will be used as tan for the aquarium plants and the ammonia it's not that toxic.
