El Poecilia Wingei (Endler) és un peix que té dos sexes, tant masculí com femení, a diferència d'altres espècies que són hermafrodita.

Una de les principals diferències d'aquesta espècie és la fàcil distinció del seu sexe, ja que l'Endler femení és molt colorit i gran, a diferència del mascle, que és més petit i més apagat. Poden arribar a pondre 150 ous. Una vegada fecundada l'hembra, guarden uns sacs al seu interior per a poder reproduir-se en qualsevol moment. Són omnívors, és a dir, poden alimentar-se tant de vegetals (algues) com d'animals (copèpodes i puces d'aigua).

One of the more noticables differences of this specie it's that it's easy to spot their gender, because the male Endler is more colourful, but the female it's bigger and less colourful. They can put until 150 eggs. Once the female is fertalised, they keep a kind of bags inside them, so they can reproduce in any moment. They are omnivorous, they feed themselves with vegetables (algae) and other animals (Copepods and Daphnia).
