Music In Our Lives is a general music course that explains the way music is integrated into society with a focus on percussion. Students are encouraged to practice, if they have access to drums, a drum pad, sticks, a piano, or a keyboard at home. Students will be given a few performance assignments each quarter. Class participation and cooperation will make up the largest part of grading.

Playing Percussion
Music theory
Music history
Musical Theater
The uses of music in society
Music of many cultures
Careers in music
Some basic Piano skills
