You will write an essay (1600 words) that analyses ’Connections’ from our dystopian theme.
You must:
Discuss TWO ‘Connections’
Use a minimum of TWO texts for each ‘Connection’
Use specific supporting evidence for each text
Use an ‘Adverb’ and ‘W-Start’ sentence in each paragraph
Fill out the ‘Connections Template’ at the beginning of your ‘Connections Booklet’
Have your teacher sign this off
Make sure to:
a. Write in 3rd person (ie "the Audience feels.." rather than "I think..")
b. Remove errors if you want the 3 credits for your writing standard.
c. Follow conventions for quoting.
d. Follow conventions for titles of texts (Capitalise all keywords, underline long texts (novels/films), inverted commas around short texts)
d. APA reference where needed.

Analyse (use planning template questions) Text 1&2 in relation to ‘Connection A’
Paragraph 4 ‘Compare and Contrast’ paragraph (150 words)
Discuss the similarities/difference in how authors have explored ‘Connection A’
If possible, make judgments as to which author has most successfully used Crafting to get across his/her Ideas (and purpose) to the specific Audience

Paragraph 7 ‘Compare and Contrast’ paragraph (150 words)
