Western Sierra Collegiate Academy has a unique set of graduation requirements based on our mission, vision and core values. Our graduation requirements meet or exceed University of California required courses for admission.
Western Sierra Students must complete the following to earn a high school diploma:
Complete the series of courses listed.
WSCA courses are A-G approved, as must be any courses taken for remediation.
Earn 220 units or more.
Complete 60 hours of community service hours (due March 1st of senior year)
WSCA Graduation requirements are determined by the RAFOS school board.
WSCA Grad Requirements meet or exceed UC and CSU A-G Requirements:
A-G Requirements are the course, in specific subjects areas, that high school students are required complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU).
Note:
UCs and CSUs require that for VAPA 1 year or 2 semester courses must be completed from the same discipline required (including dance, music, theatre, visual arts or interdisciplinary arts.)
