Grade Level Counselor Roles

Grade level counselors provide students in their grade levels support in the following areas:

• Social-emotional support

  • Immediate support and risk assessments

  • Social emotional health and wellness resources and referrals

• College and career

  • College Exploration and App Planning

  • Financial Aid Guidance and college application fee waivers

• Academic Support

  • 504 questions and coordination

  • Academic Enrichment Guidance (Sierra College classes while in high school)

  • Scheduling and course requests

Counselors follow their classes up, remaining the grade level's counselor until graduation.
