Messaging

Qridi Core enables messaging both at the school level and class level. At the school level, you can create discussion groups for teachers as needed, which makes internal communication smoother. In addition, school-level announcements can be sent to selected target groups or to all parties, such as teachers, parents, and students.

At the class level, messaging supports smooth interaction between teachers and students or teachers and parents, facilitating information sharing and daily collaboration within the class.

School-Level Messaging – Discussion Groups for Teachers

You can find the school-level messaging tools in the menu on the left (see image below). You can create a new discussion group for teachers using the plus button and select the teachers you want to include.

You can edit the group name or add new teachers later using the pencil icon next to the group name (see image).

If you wish, you can mark certain groups as favorites and adjust your own notification settings (see image below).

Remember that you can also use the mobile app for messaging. Announcements are visible there as well.

School-Level Messaging – Announcements for Different Parties

Announcements offer a visually appealing and effective way to share important information with members of the school community. Recipients can read the announcements through their own apps, ensuring that information reaches everyone easily.

Where to find Announcements?

The Announcements feature can be found in the menu on the left.

How to create a new announcement:

Select “Publish new announcement”.
Fill in the required details, such as the title and content. It’s recommended to add a cover image from the built-in image library, where you can search by keyword (see images below).
Choose the recipient group and publish.

Announcements are an excellent way to keep everyone up to date!

Class-Level Messaging – General

Messaging provides a simple way to send messages to students. Teachers can communicate using both the computer interface and the mobile app. Students and teachers receive notifications about new messages. Messages can include text as well as images, videos, audio, or other files.

You can send messages to the entire class, specific groups, or individual students. The class teaching team can see the messages sent by students. In addition, you can message parents if they have been granted access to the parent version of the Qridi Core app.

Bonus Tips

Through the teacher’s computer interface, you can also send badges to students to highlight good performances, successes, and behaviors aligned with class values. You can choose whether to send these to an individual student, a group, or the entire class.

You can create your own custom badges. These appear for the student in the messaging view and can also be found collected in the student’s portfolio, visible to both the teacher and the student. This allows you to track all badges given during the school year.

Freezing a conversation (e.g., during holidays if messaging needs to be limited). You can do this by clicking the info button next to the conversation and selecting “Freeze this conversation”.

Bulletin board. You can pin conversations directly from the top of a message thread. Pinned conversations will also appear on the class bulletin board.
