Reassessment policy

Per the QCHS Student Handbook, exam and major assignment reassessment is an option available to all students. Module quizzes and homework are not considered major assignments and therefore

All students will have the option of re-taking an exam, open note and open book, as homework on the day of the exam for half credit on items missed on the first attempt. I consider this option satisfies my obligation to provide a reassessment opportunity as outline in the QCHS Student Handbook. Any possible additional re-assessments are entirely up to my discretion and will be capped for 80% credit. For further information please see my re-test policy.

Additional exam retests or reassessments for other major assignments will be considered. Students, through email contact, must initiate the reassessment process and copy their parents/guardians on the email. This request must come within one calendar week of when the student receive back their graded assessment. I will not consider reassessment requests after one week. Major assignments and exams that were failed do to plagiarism (including cheating) or late submission of the assignment are not eligible for reassessment.
