Our Studio Operations Assistants help with every single daily task you can think of, from inventory and custodial work, to making sure the studios and labs are perfect and retail ready. They get exposed to real-life experience in a fast-paced professional studio, working directly on occasion with our Production team. Though production work is not guaranteed, being an intern is the most surefire way to gain that sort of experience while at Pyramind. Many of our Interns move up to become Production Assistants, and even full-time staff.
Shifts are generally 5-6 hours, once a week, though may be more if needed to help set up and run elite sessions. An internship lasts for 3 months but interns who have excelled in their performance and are interested in working another term can apply again. The maximum an intern can work is 2 terms.
What do you get out of it? Well, every 4 hours worked as an intern translates to 1 hour of class time which can be used to get UP TO $695 off the cost of a class. Hours must be accrued before the start of the class. If you don't want to spend your hours on classes, every 6 hours accrued can be used for 1 hour of free studio time after school is over. That's a huge value! Not only that, but you get to work face to face with the top executives running Pyramind Studios who can write you letters of recommendation, educate you about their positions here, share job and other internship postings with you first, and rely on you as a dedicated team member. You will also get to put your experience here on your resume, which is real studio work experience.
We generally request that students have completed at least 3 months at Pyramind, and have passed the gauntlets for ALL studios before applying to be an intern, but sometimes rare exceptions are made.
