Please review the "Studio Manuals and Walkthroughs" section of the Studio Booking Page and study the manuals/materials provided. Study each manual and take the quiz. Once you’ve achieved a passing score, contact the Studio Manager and schedule an in-person “Gauntlet Test”.
During the Gauntlet, the Studio Manager will ask you questions about the room and ensure you understand all necessary protocol to use the room by yourself.
This is the standard procedure for gaining access to the The Living Room. It’s best to wait until you’ve had a Walkthrough of the studio before attempting the Gauntlet Test. Contact the Studio Manager if you have any questions.
Once a student has reached the 5th month of their program, AND has completed gauntlets for all previous studios, they may take the Studio B Gauntlet. You must take both an in-person Walkthrough and Gauntlet. This is our most advanced studio and the room we use for in-house production work. Manuals for the room are also available in the Studio Bookings Class and can be studied at your leisure in the meantime.
While our staff is always on hand to help you if you have any questions or needs during your studio bookings, the point of these Walkthroughs and Gauntlets is to prepare you for working without any assistance. We ask that you take the Gauntlets seriously and study hard. If a staff member does not feel you are fully equipped with the knowledge to use the room safely and effectively, we will not pass you, and may revoke privileges in certain circumstances.
