Welcome to the Wagner Friday Family Flyer! Each week, this flyer will come out with information about upcoming events, school information, wildcats of the week, campus highlights and more. There's also helpful links at the bottom. Go, Wildcats!
COMING NEXT WEEK: Wildcats of the Week!
We love it when our students are on campus! When your child is here, they participate in their classroom community and experience valuable social and academic growth. We miss them when they are gone! We understand your child will be sick sometimes, but we appreciate them being at school when they are here.
As a reminder, cell phones and smart watches must be turned off and stowed away during school hours.
Students should not use personal devices during the school day for:
Taking photos or videos
Texting or calling parents/guardians
Communicating with friends
Any other non-school use
If a student needs to contact a parent or guardian during the school day, our office staff is always available to help.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep students focused on learning and engaged at school!
If your wildcat brings a device to school, they are responsible for it. The school and district are not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft to student personal smart devices brought onto campus.
We love your students, but we cannot have them unattended on campus, including waiting in front of the office, before 7:25. We have no supervision for students prior to 7:25.
The only students who should be coming into campus earlier than that are preschool students and morning childcare students.
By now your wildcat knows where to meet you or their childcare option after school. Once the crowd has departed from the back gate and the line has finished in the front of school valet, students will be taken to the office for pick up. If you arrive when your student is in the office, please park and enter the front office for pick up. The crowd and lines are typically finished at about 2:25.
Calling all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! Sign up to be a valet helper and help your school community! This is a great way to help ensure our wildcats start the day on a positive note.
Our amazing PTA does an incredible amount of work to support Wagner. They help fundraise to provide field trips, assemblies, school materials and more! Our PTA also organizes many school events that our students enjoy. You know how the saying goes, many hands make light work! Please consider volunteering your heart and energy. One event or many - we'd love your help! No experience necessary!
Each year, we host a PTA membership drive and ask that our families join the PTA. No time commitment needed, though we of course welcome the support! Plus, did you know being a PTA member gets you discounts at certain places?
the class with the most PTA memberships gets a Yogurtland party!

Back to School Night
It was great to see so many families at Back to School Night. It was a fantastic change to connect with fellow families, meet and connect with your child's teacher, and find out about their year ahead. We value our partnership and know that connection makes us all stronger!
TK Choice Centers
TK students exercise their social skills, imaginations, motor skills, and more during choice centers. How do you cope when you don't get the center you want? How to you work with other students? Students work on this every day!
1st Grade Partner Talk
Being an effective communicator is a lifelong skill that we want students to develop and hone every day. Check out these first graders working on partner talk in their learning. Plus a bonus picture or two of word building!
4th Grade Text Dive
4th Graders dive deep into their reading to learn more about their world. Check out these fourth graders going on a text hunt to find differences and similarities between tsunamis and earthquakes.
Upper Grade Buddy Time
Wagner is a school for everybody - we have students from many different backgrounds, with many different interests, and a wide range of learning styles and needs. The ability to work with others, to accept people for who they are, and to connect are important life long skills. While not all of our upper grade students learn in the same classrooms through the day, our 6th grade and 4/5 special day class had time to engage with each other.
