Welcome to the Wagner Friday Family Flyer! Each week, this flyer will come out with information about upcoming events, school information, wildcats of the week, campus highlights and more. There's also helpful links at the bottom. Go, Wildcats!

Back to School Night is This Thursday!

1st through 5th grade classes will host their Back to School Night THIS Thursday. Come and hear all about what your child will do this year, meet the teacher, and ask questions.

It's Hot!

It is HOT and more warm weather is coming our way. We will be monitoring the heat index and any heat advisories each day and adjusting accordingly, but please help us by reminding your students to drink water regularly, dressing appropriately for the heat (take those jackets off outside!), and to take it easy if they are feeling too hot.

Student Volunteers Wanted!

Calling all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! Sign up to be a valet helper and help your school community!

Parents, We Need You!

Our amazing PTA does an incredible amount of work to support Wagner. They help fundraise to provide field trips, assemblies, school materials and more! Our PTA also organizes many school events that our students enjoy. You know how the saying goes, many hands make light work! Please consider volunteering your heart and energy. One event or many - we'd love your help! No experience necessary!

Campus Highlights

Preschool Fun

Our preschoolers have been hard at work learning classroom routines, building relationships, and getting to know their new communities. Check out the preschoolers learning each other's names by finding each other's shoes and discovering the different play areas in preschool.

Kinder, Kinder, What Do You See?

Kinder students are working through Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? They're practicing reading skills AND building fine motor skills with their yellow ducks!

TK: Letters

Students are building their skills every single day. Check out some of our youngest learners mastering their letters.

1st Grade

Reading takes us places and strong reading skills open doors for life! First grade is diving into the love of reading by sharing big books!

2nd Grade

Second graders often work in centers and small groups. Students practiced their math games center to build math skills and in anticipation of lots of math learning this year!

Art Fun!

Wagner students participate in visual arts! Our first classes dove into art this week. Here's second grade! They practiced art concepts through the creation of mandalas.

1st and 6th Grade Buddies

At Wagner, we know success is rooted in connection. One way our students connect to their bigger community is through buddies where younger and older students are paired up. This week had 1st and 6th graders connecting with each other.
