(Associated Student Body)
Associated Student Body (ASB) is an elective course available through either an elected or application-based process. Students interested in serving as an ASB or class officer may run for office between mid-February and late March. For students who prefer a non-elected leadership role, commissioner positions are available. Commissioner applications are released in April and require both a written application and an interview. Final ASB membership is determined in early May.
ASB plays a vital role in shaping the school culture and student experience. Members plan, organize, and execute a wide range of activities for the entire student body, including pep rallies, dances, and school-wide events. ASB is also responsible for recognizing and celebrating the achievements of students and staff, helping to build a positive and inclusive campus environment.
In addition, ASB works closely with athletics, performing arts, clubs, academies, and pathways to support and highlight the dedication and accomplishments within these programs. Through leadership, creativity, and collaboration, ASB helps make Esperanza a school where students feel valued, connected, and excited to attend.
