Once you have completed your Civic Engagement Project and SSCE Student Reflection Form, you will Email the SSCE Endorsement Form to your primary contact to complete. You will be notified by email after your primary contact has completed the form.
The form asks your primary contact the following:Â
"Please check all that apply regarding the ways you have witnessed characteristics of civic-mindedness in the individual named above.
Concern for the rights and well-being of their fellow community members
Desire to contribute to the common good
A proactive commitment to equity, inclusivity, racial and ethnic diversity, and fairness
Appreciating and seeking out a variety of perspectives and valuing differences, including voices that are underrepresented or marginalized
Demonstrating a sense of civic duty at local, state, national, or global levels
Awareness of the value of their own experiences, knowledge of their own community, and how their engagement with social, political, environmental, or economic issues can contribute to the greater good
Respect for the contributions of others who do not share the same racial, economic, cultural, or political background
Demonstrating empathy through inclusion and by helping to elevate the voices of others
Standing up for themselves or others who may be experiencing bullying, harassment, discrimination, exclusion, or unwanted attention
Leading a group to work toward a common goal"
