Criteria 2: Course Requirements
Criteria 2:
You must complete grade-level history/social sciences (HHS) course requirements with passing grades or their equivalent, in World History, U.S. History, and American Government. You must attend at least three local government meetings and submit a form with your reflections about each experience.
1) You must complete grade-level history/social sciences (HHS) course requirements with passing grades or their equivalent, in the following:
World History (10), Ethnic Studies, or AP Human Geography (End of school year)
U.S. History (11), US Ethnic Studies, or AP US History (End of school year)
American Government (12) or AP US Govt (End of first semester).
2) You must attend at least three local government or nonprofit organization meetings and submit a form about each experience. Examples:
School-related (i.e. Site Council, ELAC).
Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisor meetings or other County meeting
Nonprofit organization relevant to the project you are working on. (Examples: Food What?, Jóvenes Sanos, Empower Watsonville-PVPSA)
On the form you will include the meeting name, date, and location, and upload the meeting agenda if available.
