Criteria 4: Self Reflection
Criteria 4:
You will demonstrate self-reflection in a variety of ways, which can include oral presentations, written reflections, and digital media. Your reflections will be informed by self-evaluations that you will complete before and after your project.
Process:
After completing your project (criteria 3), create a presentation reflecting on your civic engagement project. Examples: a video, written narrative, screencast of slides, website, narrated slideshow of images.
Complete the SSCE Student Reflection Form, making sure to upload your presentation to the form.
Questions to answer will include:
Why did you choose this civic problem?
What inspired you? Why is it meaningful to you?
What actions and activities did you carry out?
What did you learn about yourself through the process?
What did you learn about your community, and how your actions can have a positive impact?
Would you consider doing things differently or additionally to create deeper or more lasting change?
Would you be willing to serve as a resource to future students interested in earning their SSCE through a similar project? If so, please provide your personal email and phone number.
