Wood Source Sustainability - Home Depot vs. City Mill
The Home Depot Eco-Action Website claims that they promote and "encourage" their suppliers to sustainably source their wood. However, it should be noted that this wording is slightly vague, as "encouraging" is not a guarantee or a requirement by Home Depot that their wood suppliers are sustainable.
The official City Mill Website has little to no information available on the topic of their lumber supplier sustainability. Without this information, it is advisable that for sustainability purposes and intents, users should primarily buy wood from Home Depot.
