This week, we CADed the frame, focusing on making the frame light and simple to manufacture. The main frame is made of just 6 pipes, with 2 additional safety rails on the sides.
This week was primarily focused on developing a prototype out of cheap materials such as PVC Pipe, Wood, and 3DP parts before moving to a final model that will be made with steel tubing.
Tools used:
Tube notcher
3d printer (alignment blocks and spacers)
Drill (holes in PVC pipes)
Focused on:
3D printed alignment blocks
Standardized mounting, hole sizes
Frame prototype finished
Worked out mounting arrangements for seating and motor mount
Mount front components - steering rack (3D-printed), pedal, brake pedal
Make brake pedal
Mount brake calipher (3D-printed)
I built a custom ESC schematic around an ESP-32, and a triple-half bridge system
