POSADA
POSADA- shelter for families with children for up to 2 months.
Shelter is located on Elko and Lake “ELKO”.
There are 10 units (bunkbed, bathroom, kitchen).
This shelter is classified as EMERGENCY shelter.
To sign up for housing you must go to POSADA (111 N Union; 8-12pm) and fill out an intake form and then a case manager will assess family.
Housing at POSADA is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
Families are encouraged to KEEP CALLING EVERYDAY at 8am.
To qualify for housing one must pass a background check and go through a case management like program.

POSADA & Rapid Rehousing- up to 24 months
Must be referred to this program through coordinated entry.
Must be literally homeless- living in a shelter/hotel/motel/place not meant for habitation. People experiencing literal homelessness can go on housing list (by name list) for coordinated entry. COUCH-SURFING WILL NOT QUALIFY.
Program includes supportive services.

POSADA & Permanent Supportive Housing- must be chronically homeless- consecutive 12 months of literal homelessness or 4 episodes lasting 3 months or longer in the last 3 years.
POSADA IS ALSO AN ACCESS POINT FOR COORDINATED ENTRY

POSADA & Energy Outreach CO- homeless to housing
POSADA refers people to them.
Can help with gas and electric bill up to $3,000.
POSADA & Youth Program-
Drop in center at 111 N Union from 8-12pm.
Access multiple services. (food, hygiene products, laundry vouchers, hotel vouchers- 18-25 yrs old, Basic Center Program (BCP)- unaccompanied youth from 12-17 years old)
Transitional living quarters for up to 24 months, must be working/enrolled in school full time, ages 18-25 (6 units).

POSADA WORKS CLOSELY WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES.
POSADA CAN REFER PEOPLE OUT.
