Together in your groups you will assign a role to each person in your group
Group Leader makes a copy of the slides, and shares w/ other members of the group & Mr Hughes
Read through the role you have been given, and when it is your turn demonstrate, and encourage others to do their part.

Read through the text independently
Make a copy of the Response to Text, and complete it.
Share it w/ Mr Hughes & post both the Reciprocal Reading & Response to Text to your blog.

Reciprocal Reading
Together in your groups you will assign a role to each person in your group
The Leader - This person must organise the group, and make sure everyone is doing their job
The Predictor - This person will ask the group what they think will happen next & to help the others look for clues
The Clarifier - This person will identify words that are unfamiliar and new, and work with the group to work out what they mean.
The Questioner - This person is in charge of asking questions to the group (Where? What? Who? Why? How?)
The Link Maker - This person will be thinking about the events and characters in the story, and how they connect to other stories, or real life situations
The Summariser - This person will be able to give a short summary of what has happened in the story, so far, to the group.
