Pack 75 was founded in 1986 through the support of Peachtree City United Methodist Church, along with a dedicated group of parents, former Scouts, and community leaders. Their shared vision was to create a program that would help young people grow into confident, capable Scouts—and eventually, into leaders in their communities.
That same spirit continues to guide us today.
As part of the Flint River Council, we’re connected to a larger network that supports Scouting across our region. The council acts like a regional hub, providing training, events, and resources that help local packs like ours thrive.
Our pack has a long-standing tradition of excellence that helps us deliver the best possible scouting experience. Setting goals and measuring progress helps us take steps to ensure we deliver a well-rounded, engaging, and impactful program for every scout and family.
By focusing on areas like leadership development, outdoor activities, advancement, service, and family involvement, we're able to deliver a program that’s not only fun—but meaningful and lasting. Together, we’re building something great.
Cub Scouts follows the rhythm of the school year, with meetings occurring 2-3 times per month from late-August through mid-May for 60-90 minutes. We do not meet during school breaks or holiday weekends, keeping with our motto: “No school, no scouts!”
Our normal meeting time is Sunday at 4:00 PM with occasional events falling on a different day of the week, such as the Pinewood Derby or Scouting for Food.
During the summer months, we take a break from regular meetings. While we do offer a few optional events like day camp, hikes, or movie nights, attendance is flexible and activities are more relaxed.
This schedule helps families enjoy their time off while keeping scouting fun and manageable throughout the year.
Cub Scouts is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade, with each grade corresponding to a rank:
Lions – Kindergarten
Tigers – 1st Grade
Wolves – 2nd Grade
Bears – 3rd Grade
Webelos – 4th Grade
Arrow of Light (AOL) – 5th Grade
Each rank has its own set of adventures and achievements designed to build character, citizenship, and outdoor skills.
Most Pack 75 meetings are held at the Scout Lodge, a dedicated Scouting facility located behind Peachtree City United Methodist Church at 225 Robinson Road. The lodge is tucked away in the back of the property—look for signage or refer to the photo below to help you find it.
Please park in the main lot (before the dirt road) and walk in with your Scout. Driving directly to the lodge can cause congestion and make it difficult to turn around, especially during busy meeting times.
While the Scout Lodge is our primary home, we occasionally meet at other locations for special events. Leaders may also host smaller gatherings at their homes, but the majority of your time will be at the Scout Lodge.
Cub Scouts is a family-led program, and it thrives when everyone pitches in. This is not a drop-off program—we rely on parent and guardian involvement to make meetings, events, and adventures possible.
Every family is expected to take on a role, whether it’s leading a den, helping with an event, managing communications, or simply setting up chairs. No scouting experience is required—just a willingness to help and support the pack.
When everyone contributes a little, our scouts gain a lot. Together, we create a stronger, more fun, and more meaningful experience for all.
We want to make sure you always know what’s going on! Most pack-wide communication is sent via email, so please provide a current email address when you register and check it regularly for updates, event details, and reminders.
Each den also uses a GroupMe chat for quick, informal communication between den leaders and parents. It’s a great way to stay in the loop about meeting times, last-minute changes, and what to bring.
Once your scout is registered, we’ll help you get connected to your den’s GroupMe and introduce you to Scoutbook, our online tool for tracking advancement and staying organized.
Our pack hosts a variety of fun and meaningful events throughout the year that bring families together and help scouts grow through adventure and service:
Pack Family Campout – A weekend of camping, campfires, and outdoor fun for the whole family.
Spook-a-Ree – A Halloween-themed event with costumes, games, and spooky activities.
Pinewood Derby – Scouts design, build, and race their own wooden cars.
Scouting for Food – A service project collecting food donations for local families.
Blue & Gold Banquet – A celebration of Scouting’s birthday with dinner, awards, and entertainment.
Cub-a-Ree – A council-run campout with archery, crafts, obstacle courses, and more.
We also host occasional events like:
Bike Rodeos
Raingutter Regatta
Rocket Derby
Service Projects – Including singing at a local nursing home or packing meals at Midwest Food Bank.
These events are a great way for scouts and families to connect, explore, and have fun together!
A pack is the larger group that includes all Cub Scouts in Pack 75, while a den is a smaller group within the pack, organized by grade level and age. Dens work on age-appropriate activities and adventures.
Den meetings are small-group gatherings where scouts of the same grade level (called a den) meet regularly to work on adventures, play games, learn new skills, and have fun together. These meetings are led by a Den Leader—a trained adult volunteer, usually a parent or guardian of a scout in the den—who guides the group through age-appropriate activities and helps them earn badges. Den meetings are the heart of the Cub Scout experience, offering hands-on learning in a supportive, energetic environment.
Pack meetings are gatherings where all dens come together to celebrate achievements, enjoy games and skits, and build a sense of community. Led by the Cubmaster, these events are fun, high-energy, and family-friendly. Scouts are recognized for their accomplishments, and families get to see the progress their children are making. Pack meetings often include themed activities, guest speakers, or special events like Pinewood Derby awards or holiday celebrations.
Cub Scout packs are led by a team of dedicated volunteers who work together to deliver a fun, safe, and meaningful program for all scouts:
Cubmaster – Leads pack meetings and events; the face of the pack for scouts and families.
Den Leaders – Guide small groups of scouts (dens) through age-specific adventures and achievements.
Committee Chair – Oversees the pack committee and ensures smooth operation and planning.
Committee Members – Support roles like treasurer, secretary, advancement, and event planning.
Chartered Organization Representative – Connects the pack with its sponsoring organization.
New Member Coordinator – Welcomes new families and helps them get started.
All leaders are trained and supported through Scouting America’s online and local resources. See our leaders here.
You can expect an entire school year to cost between $200-$350, inclusive of registration fees, pack fees, and other activity fees. Cost range is dependent on the number optional activities in which you participate. For more specifics, see the link below:
