Suggested Activities 

*  Do some baking and talk about the measurements.

* Learn to tie your shoe laces.

* Collect leaves from 10 different non harmful plants and sort them in many different ways-  size, colour, shape, texture.

* Make up a scavenger hunt with simple clues.

* Grow some seeds and observe the changes when they are germinating. Either plant them in soil in a clear plastic bag or drop them on moistened cotton wool.

* Have a teddy bear's picnic.

* Cardboard Construction : Make a creation from your recyclable materials.

* Get playful with balloon tennis.

* Leaf rubbing collages.

* Get messy with some splatter painting.

* Design and make your own kite and learn how to fly it.

* Make bird feeders. All you need is a toilet paper roll, bird seeds and peanut butter or honey.

* Go on a backyard bug hunt.

* Have some fun with play dough nature prints.

* Make butter in a jar.

* Set up a puppet theatre.

* Explore creative movement with scarves and streamers.

* Play with a Water Xylophone - must be glass bottles.

* Play charades.

* Design and set up a backyard obstacle course.

Play dough ingredients

2 cups flour.

1/2 cup salt.

2 tablespoons cooking oil.

2 tablespoons cream of tartar or baking soda.

2 cups boiling water.

1 teaspoon food colouring.
