Two medical bachelor students from Kunming Medical University, P. R. China, led by Assoc. Prof . Long Rong, Vice Dean of School of Basic Medicine and Ms. Li Juan, Teacher for Student Affairs of School of Basic Medicine, visited the Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine (FTTM) under the MOU between our universities. Our guests visited FTTM from September 17 – 18, 2013 which came under the Culture Exchange Program. Dr. Sasitorn Chusri, Assistant Dean for Research and International Affairs; Dr. Surasak Limsuwan, Lecturer; and Miss Rattanavilai Thawornsuwon , our International Affairs Officer welcomed our guests at FTTM.
During the two-day visit, all participants enjoyed several classes on Traditional Thai medicine which were offered by our lecturers, scientists and Thai medicine doctors. The classes provided for our guests were on Thai massage; on preparation of Thai medicine plus a workshop on how to make hot herbal compress balls. Two of the lecturers appreciated the hot herbal steam treatment, in particular. In addition, it was a great opportunity for TTM’s students to help our lecturers undertaking these activities. It was great chance for them to communicate with foreign students.
