Masters of Thai Traditional Medicine Program is intended to produce Master’s degree graduates who gain knowledge and understanding in the principles and theories of Thai Traditional Medicine. They are also expected to be able to integrate all the acquired knowledge with other related fields and conduct Thai traditional Medical research by means of systematic research processes. Besides, our graduates are expected to possess high morals, along with academic and professional ethics.
Full Title : Master of Thai Traditional Medicine
Abbreviation : M.TM. (Thai Traditional Medicine)
Study Time : Two years with full time course
Apply knowledge and theories in Thai Traditional Medicine to research works
Possess high moral and ethical standards
Possess responsibility, good human relations, and effective leadership and communication skills and the ability to work within the team.
Able to do research works and to systematically apply critical and analytical thinking in creative problem solving
Able to use information technology and communication, to support and improve in research works and works.
The total credit load must not be less than 36 credits for all programs. There are two plans for the Master's Degree Program.
Plan B
focuses on research and requires a thesis. Plan A is also divided into two options
• Plan A(1) consists of only doing a thesis totaling not less than 36 credits.
• Plan A(2) consists of a thesis and coursework. The thesis must not less than 18 credits and the coursework must total not less than 18 credits.
Plan B
Consists of a minor thesis and coursework. The minor thesis must not less than 6 credits and the coursework must total not less than 30 credits.
Plan A
Applicant must hold a Bachelor, s degree or expect to graduate with a Bachelor, s degree in Thai Traditional Medicine, Applied Thai Traditional Medicine or a Bachelor's degree in fields related to Science.
Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 for Plan A(1) and 2.50 for Plan A(2).
However, if applicant has cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and having experience in Traditional Thai Medicine’s research and the research being published in national or international journals continuously. This may be considered depending on judgment of Academic Committee. (for Plan A(1))Applicant who did not hold a Bachelor, s degree in Thai Traditional Medicine or Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, must have a license in Thai Traditional Medicine at least one field (for Plan A(2)) and had a research or project related to Thai Traditional Medicine. Applicant must have at least 3 years working experience in the fields related to Thai Traditional Medicine

The program is focused on producing researchers and academics who achieve the background knowledge of Thai Traditional Medicine and a high level of research skills. They are also expected to be academic leaders producing quality Thai Traditional Medicine research and conducting new knowledge accepted in national and international levels as well as possess high morality and academic ethics.

Plan A: Thesis only: where research of exceptional quality leading to novel studies is conducted.
Plan A (1) Applicant with a Master's degree must register for at least 48 thesis credits.
Plan A (2) Applicant with a Bachelor's degree must register for at least 72 thesis credits.
Plan A (1)
1. Applicant must hold a Master’s degree or is expected to graduate with a Master's degree in Science or other related fields with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.25 or have previous experience in conducting research in a science related area with at least one national or international journal publication.
Plan A (2)
1. Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or is expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or other related fields with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.50 or have previous experience in conducting research in a science related area with at least one national or international journal publication.
Ph.D. students must have successfully completed and passed 48 or 72 thesis credits as stipulated for the program of choice.
Ph.D. students must pass an English proficiency test as determined by the graduate school.
Ph.D. students must pass the qualifying exam, thesis proposal examination and thesis defense examination
Two articles relating to the scientific research work conducted during the study must be have been published or accepted for publication in a science citation index journal (SCI journal) as specified by the graduate school.
