Vision

To be a leading Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine for Thai society

Mission

To produce Thai Traditional Medicine bachelors, masters and doctor of philosophy’s graduates who have knowledge and professional skills and learning outcomes according to Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF), global competency, and economic sufficiency.
To produce research works focused on preservation and development of Thai Traditional Medicine and Southern Folk Medicine knowledge which are accepted nationally and internationally and are beneficial to the society
To provide Thai Traditional Medicine education and profession to society in any dimensions, and to be accepted

Strategic Objectives

To produce both undergraduate and graduate Thai Traditional Medicine students with academic knowledge and professional skills relevant to the main emphasis on non-communicable diseases, The graduates are also expected to have quality based on professional autonomy and sufficiency economy, desirable qualifications of Thai Traditional Medicine personnel, identity according to the university’s requirements, life skills in multi-cultures, as well as global competency accepted nationally and internationally.
To promote and develop research system of Thai Traditional Medicine and Southern Folk Medicine contributed that can result in innovative outcomes which are accepted globally and beneficial to the society
To promote health and prevention of diseases based on Thai Traditional Medicine Guidelines for the people and benefits of the society
To standardize and develop acceptable academic and professional services and to be a global model
To promote and preserve art and culture as well as conserve and publicize Thai Traditional Medicine and Southern Folk Medicine wisdom
To conduct efficient proactive administration, reinforce personnel competency based on Good Governance

To emphasize on the development of methods, efficacy and safety of Thai Traditional Medicine treatments resulting in correct diagnosis, efficient and safe treatments focused on non-communicable diseases
To gather Thai Folk knowledge and develop treatments of Southern Folk Medicine for the actualization of a wide range of benefits and the utilization in national health system focused on non-communicable diseases, Thai Midwifery, and Thai Massage

1. Thai Medicine

To focus on the development of efficient method of diagnosis, safe and effective drugs for the treatment of non-communicable diseases through Thai the use of Traditional Medicine processes

Diabetesto study the efficiency and safety of Thai traditional medicines used for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes

Dyslipidemiasto study the efficacy and safety of Thai traditional medicines for the prevention, management and treatment of Dyslipidemias in patients
to study the efficacy of Thai Traditional Medicine health care processes in patients suffering Dyslipidemias

Health Care for elderly Peopleto study the efficacy of Thai Traditional Medicine health care processes in old people
to study the efficacy of Thai medicines in patients suffering from arthritis

2. Thai pharmacy

To develop products of Thai traditional medicines for treating non-communicable diseases and herbal products for the elderly. The research focus is as stated below:

To gather Thai folk knowledge on the use of herbs and formularies from folk practitioners and Thai Traditional scriptures for the treatment of non-communicable diseases
To study and ascertain quality control processes of herbal materials and Thai medicines
To develop and formulate quality drug preparations

3. Thai Massage

To promote the importance of treatment with Thai massage based on Thai Traditional Medicine and Thai Folk Medicine in patients with the following symptoms and disease :

Stroketo investigate the efficacy of Thai folk medicine as compared with the standard treatment for stroke

Musculoskeletal Disordersto gather treatment processes and case studies related to musculoskeletal disorders
to investigate the efficacy of Thai folk medicine as compared with the standard treatment for musculoskeletal disorders
to investigate the efficacy of massage therapy for office syndrome

4. Thai Massage and Thai Midwifery

To focus on the promotion, care and treatment of mothers at postpartum period by means of Thai Traditional Medicine and Folk Medicine in patients with the following symptoms and disease :

Midwifery such as health rehabilitation for mother at postpartum period by means of Thai Traditional Medicine as well as patients with pelvic organ prolapse, prolapsed uterus and infertility

to gather treatment processes and case studies related to uterine prolapse

to investigate the efficacy of Thai folk medicine as compared with the standard treatment for uterine prolapse
