A little about me, Andrew Kinard . . .    Â
I am so excited to be teaching third grade for the 2025-2026 year at Timnath Elementary. Third grade is a year of so many opportunities to grow in reading, writing, and math. This will be my twenty sixth year in education. Prior to Timnath, I taught fourth and fifth grades at Kruse Elementary, fifth grade at Rice Elementary as well as fourth grade in Saudi Arabia. My master's degree is in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and my bachelor's degree is in Speech/Communication from Colorado State University.
My wife and I are Colorado natives, and we love spending time on walks, hikes, and fishing. Recently, we moved back from five years in Saudi Arabia. We so loved the culture, cuisine, and daily rhythm of life as well as the people who showed such kindness to us. However, in August of 2024, we felt it was time to come back to colorful Colorado. Our oldest son, Isaac, recently graduated from Wellington Middle/High School. He has enlisted in the U.S. Army. Our youngest son, Evan, is a sophomore at the high school. He enjoys soccer, video games, and church activities. For ourselves, Joy and I, also love reading and spending time on our house.
The chance to work with your child is a high privelege and responsibility. While this is my first year in third grade, I have two great teammates, Mrs. Rayls and Mrs. Ziegele. As we work together, my hope is to help your child enjoy school, have great friendships, and grow their learning. Thank you for this privelege!
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at akinard@psdschools.org. I so look forward to working with you this coming school year. Thank you!
