💬 A Note from Your TeachersÂ
What a wonderful week of fun and learning! This past week, 3rd graders got quite creative as they took charge of their writing lives and crafted a pourquoi tale to answer the question: Why do polliwogs wiggle? We are so proud of the writing process practice that they have put into this first piece! Thus, we are so excited to see our writers expand on their learning and creativity in their second pourquoi tale we will begin drafting next week! Â
Besides writing up a storm, our 3rd Graders also showed everything they know about finding the area of squares, rectangles and irregular shapes! Students took the Unit 6 test on Thursday, expect graded pieces to come home in Friday Folders next week. Also this past week, scientists dove into our Inherited Traits science unit. We analyzed traits amongst familiar fruits (i.e. how peaches are related to cherries, etc.). Next week look forward to continuing our trait exploration amongst foods and animals!
Please see below for a message from our wonderful PTO:
Hello lovely Timnath families,Â
You may or may not be aware that PTO provides 4 staff appreciation luncheons each year; 2 paid for and hosted by PTO and 2 provided and hosted by families. This December 10th will be a staff luncheon and we are asking families of 3rd-5th graders to help provide the luncheon items.Â
Please take a look at this sign up link and consider volunteering to help make this another successful luncheon for the staff. The staff absolutely love this and look forward to these special events in their honor.Â
Thanks in advance!
