🐾3rd Grade News- Friday, April 3rd
Dear Families,
Next week, your child will begin taking an important test. While we know that tests are just one part of their learning journey, we also know that confidence and encouragement go a long way!
We would love for you to write a short, positive letter to your child to read before testing. Your letter should focus on effort, growth, and perseverance rather than test results.
Suggestions for Your Letter:
✅ Express pride in their hard work and dedication.
✅ Remind them that a test doesn’t define them—their kindness, curiosity, and effort matter most.
✅ Share a fun memory of a time they overcame a challenge.
✅ End with a short, encouraging message (e.g., "No matter what, we are so proud of you!").
Please place your letter in the provided sealed envelope and label it "(Student's Name) - Encouragement Letter" and return it by Monday, April 6th.
Our Flat Stanley projects were due on Thursday, April 2nd. Thank you if this has already been returned. It has been fun to see all the places he has visited! Students have begun sharing about Stanley’s adventures and this will continue next week. Here are the directions again if your student still needs to complete this project! Whether your Flat Stanley explores locally with your own family or abroad with a relative, we’re asking students to take Flat Stanley on an adventure and write about his experiences. Photos are encouraged!
