Your student can go through and find a lesson they would like to do at home.
CATCHING SNOWFLAKES
This class we will listen to the story There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow. Then students will look at warm and cool colors and play a game guessing which colors are which.
Students will do a guided drawing to create their own character from a different perspective catching snowflakes and incorporate warm and cool colors in different areas.
UGLY SWEATERS
This class students will listen to the story Lester's Dreadful Sweaters, by K.G. Campbell
After listening to the story we will look at a two different artists who incorporate sweaters/tops and fun designs and patterns into their artwork and then design our own ugly/crazy/beautiful sweater!
SNOW PEOPLE!
This class students will listen to the story All You Need For a Snowman.
After listening to the story we will talk about patterns and look at some examples! Students will get to create their own snow people and add WHATEVER details they would like, just like the story. They can add details to their background or make a whole snow person scene as well!
SNOW GLOBES!
This class students will listen to the story The Snow Globe Family by Jane O'Connor
After listening to the story we will check out some unique snow globes, snow globes from around the world, and even the world's largest collection of snow globes. Then students will get to make their own using shapes, and fill it with whatever scene they want!
PAPER SCULPTURES
This class students will listen to the story Iggy Peck Architect by Andrea Beaty
After listening to the story students will get to be their own architects and create structures using 3D paper techniques
TURKEY TROUBLE
This class students will listen to the story Turkey Trouble, by Wendi Silvano.
After listening to the story students will have the chance to disguise their turkey however they like!

PICASSO FACES
This class we will learn about the artist Pablo Picasso and the style of Cubism. We will listen to a short read aloud and then look at some examples of Picasso's portraits.
Students will create their own silly Picasso portraits by randomly choosing areas on their paper to draw their facial features and any other details they want to add!
MOUSE PAINT
This class we will read the story "Mouse Paint." Students will learn about primary colors and what happens when they mix to create secondary colors.
We will explore creating our own mouse paint artwork by mixing the primary colors on our mouse template and explore our own color mixing.
LINE MONSTERS!
DAY 2
This class we will talk a little more about lines and the students will fill their monster outline with their FAVORITE lines! After their monster is full of lines they will add color by practicing coloring in sections, mixing, and using whatever colors they like.

LINE MONSTERS!
DAY 1
This week we will be reading the story Lines That Wiggle and creating our own Line monster! Listen to the read aloud included in the presentation and practice making your own lines.
Check out Mrs. Bello's Presentation and example of how to create your own line monster, then give it a try!
This week, we will be designing our sketchbook folder page and gluing it to the front of our art folder.
This is YOUR art folder, so feel free to design it however you want as long as it is school appropriate!
Use any supplies you would like: markers, crayons, pencils, and create your masterpiece!
We may not finish designing our entire page in one class and that is OK! You'll be able to come back and continue adding to your folder page during lessons if you finish your work for that class.
