Thank you for participating in Summer Institute. We look forward to this opportunity to collaborate outside of school time to increase student achievement and growth. All Summer Institute classes focus on means to meet the PSD District Ends, all dimensions of the PSD Standards-Based Teaching and Learning Framework, and implementing the Colorado Academic Standards. We are lucky to have the support of our community and district leadership to continue the Institute this summer. Due to the collaborative and interactive nature of the Institute, full participation in classes is expected and we know you will benefit from the experience.

Where is Summer Institute?
All classes will be held at Rocky Mountain High School. Shields Street Natural Gas Project may impact access to RMHS from Shields Street. More information will be provided when available. Please plan for additional time to arrive and park as traffic is likely to be congested near the school. The primary Summer Institute entrance, near the majority of classrooms, will be the northwest door near the baseball fields. RMHS may have baseball practices and games so parking near the fields will be risky for change of fly balls and broken windshields.
Please arrive by 8:15 on the first day of classes to find your classrooms.
What should I expect at the start of Summer Institute?
SI2025 classes will run from 8:30-Noon.
Snacks will NOT be provided this year. Please bring additional personal sustenance and refillable water bottles as needed. All classes will end by noon and thus we will not have a lunch break.
COFFEE! We have been unable to coordinate with a local coffee truck nor are we able to invite food trucks.
What is the new attendance process at Summer Institute?
This year we are trying to leverage the Unified Talent App for our PD Online Catalog. See the information below for downloading and using the app. We will use the Scan Attendance Code feature.
When you arrive in your classroom, open the app --> "Professional Learning" --> "Scan Section Code" and the QR code to sign will be on the Room Sign posted near the door of the classroom.
If, for whatever reason, the app cannot be used by a participant for attendance, see the class instructor for the back up attendance process.

What should I bring to Summer Institute?
The instructors for each individual class will communicate if specific supplies or resources are needed for classes. We strongly encourage you to bring a PSD or personal laptop. If you bring a personal laptop, know that guest wireless access may be available but tech support will not be able to troubleshoot should glitches occur. Visit the PD table if you need to borrow a laptop each day.
Please dress in layers as the various areas of the school can have differing temperatures.
Note: Summer Institute offers learning opportunities in a professional and engaging environment. Due to the nature of the PD delivery system and for liability reasons, we are unable to accommodate children (of any age) at any Summer Institute classes. Please review the catalog to select an option that will work best for your professional and personal schedule.
