Blevins Middle School Counseling

Summer Resources for Students and Families

Hello, and welcome to the Blevins Middle School Counseling page. We are here to support you and your child.

Counselors support the social and emotional well being of all students. Middle School is hard, so we make it our mission every day to build strong relationships and provide a safe space for students to get the support they need.

Counselors also manage 504 plans, oversee ICAP education and development, manage schedules, and are active members of the MTSS (multi-tiered systems of support) team. Each counselor manages a grade level in addition to other roles in the building.

Hello Bruins! I was born and raised in Colorado, specifically in Aurora down in the Denver area. I had a brief stint as a Knight at the University of Central Florida, then promptly moved up to Fort Collins to be a CSU Ram. I've worked in education since 2014, teaching English to high schoolers in Cheyenne then moved into my current role in counseling. While I enjoyed my position as a teacher, I found that what I cared about most was supporting kids in their personal and academic struggles. My favorite thing about Blevins Middle School is the people who are here. Our staff is incredibly dedicate to the success and well-being of all of our students.

When I'm not at work, you can find me spending time with my husband and three cats. I love cooking, music, any sort of arts & crafts, and traveling. I'm also a huge nerd and I love anything Harry Potter, Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings related.

Hello bruins! I grew up in New York about 60 miles north of New York City. I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where I earned a B.A. in Sociology and minored in Anthropology. After I graduated, I moved to Athens, Georgia and worked as a Community Social Worker for a little over 2 years before being accepted into the Professional School Counseling program at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Once I competed my degree in May 2009, I moved to Fort Collins with my now husband. We now have 3 kids and love living in Fort Collins! I worked at Jefferson High School in Greeley for 6 years and started at Blevins in August 2017. In the 2023-24 school year, I am shifting roles to an Academic Dean, where I will work with all grade levels, teachers, and families to support the academic growth and success of Blevins students. I love being a part of this amazing community and feel lucky to call myself a Bruin
