WHY are we fundraising?

To help you earn money for your 8th grade overnight band trip!

The Heights 8th Grade Band goes on an overnight trip to a band festival each May. This year will mark our 18th overnight trip! We will journey to Chicago to play in a festival, receive a clinic, and then spend some time in downtown Chicago! We journey to the festival in a chartered bus, stay in a nice hotel, and spend time sightseeing. The trip is a fun, educational way to end the students’ 3-year band experience at Heights, and it helps prepare them for similar trips they will take with the high school band. The profits you make in the fundraisers during your 6th, 7th and 8th grade band years will go to pay for your trip in 8th grade! We will keep the money you earn in an account for you until your 8th grade year.
