Ms. Hall has taught at Pattonville Heights since 2001. She was born and raised across the Mississippi in Illinois, and attended the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville for two Bachelor's degrees: one in Anthropology (1995) and one in Music Education (2001). She also holds a Master's degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois (2007). She was Pattonville's Teacher of the Year in 2012, and received a Pride of Pattonville award in 2021.
Ms. Hall's primary instrument is the French horn, which she started playing in the fourth grade. Her high school marching band experience inspired her to pursue music education as a career, but her first experience working with beginning band students convinced her that teaching middle schoolers was her calling.
Ms. Hall lives in Soulard with her husband, Dana, and their dog Xena.
Ms. Pace has been at Pattonville Heights since 2019. She also assists and clinics at various schools throughout the STL region. Previously, she was the Assistant Director of Bands and Choirs at Central High School in Springfield, MO from 2014-2019. She received both her Bachelor's in Music Education (2011) and Master in Music - Wind Conducting (2014) from Missouri State University.
In addition to teaching band, Ms. Pace is an accomplished instrumentalist and vocalist. Her primary instrument is flute, but she also plays clarinet and saxophone. You can also find her humbly accompanying students on piano.
Ms. Pace is happily married to Danny Pace, who is also a band director! He teaches at Rockwood Summit High School and Rockwood South. Together they have a performing duo called Pair of Paces. They love to attend musicals and concerts and perform music together.
