Code of Conduct

Five Finger Full Value Contract:

  • Pinkie: Safety- emotional, mental and physical
  • Ring Finger: Commitment- to the group and the process
  • Middle Finger: Respect- the opposite of the rest of the world, it reminds us that respect is at times difficult, but very important.
  • Pointer: Accountability- when we point at others, we have three fingers pointing back at us, be sure to take ownership over your actions and your part of the community
  • Thumb: Once we have the other four in our grasp, we can begin to have Fun

Class Expectations:

  • Students need to wear sneakers every physical education class period. If the student fails to wear sneakers two times per semester, their participation grade will drop.
  • All students are expected to fully participate. If a child has a medical issue, documentation must be provided (see medical section below).
  • All students should bring water to the gym. NO JUICE or SPORTS DRINKS will be allowed.
  • All students will respect each other and their teacher at all times. No Exceptions! Violations will result in disciplinary actions.
  • Any ongoing behavioral issues will be reported to classroom teacher and phone calls home to parents.
  • Students are responsible for their own safety and obeying all safety rules of the gym.
  • All students will share the air and physical space in the gym (listening to each other and being in their own personal space).

Medicals:

  • All students need to provide medical notes if they are in need of sitting out during class time. These medical notes should indicate how long they are to be sitting out of class.
  • If an end date is not provided on the original note, a note to return to activity must be provided.
  • If the students are sitting out longer than a week due to medical reasons, students will be provided written work in accordance to the content being covered.
